Sometimes we can be our own worst enemy. Most of our problems start out as small. They could be easily handled, because their size is equivalent to a mouse. But, when we avoid them, they seem to grow bigger and bigger, until they are the size of an elephant. This problem, that was once very small and annoying, has now become the giant silent elephant in the room.
This elephant goes with us wherever we are, huge and looming, and casting a shadow over everything we do. We don’t even realize how much it affects us subconsciously, but it is always there. It grows until it becomes so big that we eventually have to face that elephant, or have no room for ourselves.
The best advice I can give to you is to face something when it is small and manageable. Get rid of the mouse before it grows into a much worse problem. You will feel better, and you will feel encouraged to take care of other issues quickly. And know that everyone has issues. Everyone is afraid of their problems. Everyone wants to avoid dealing with them. And, everyone is afraid of those mice. Even elephants.
