Truer words were never spoken in my opinion. How else do you explain the poorest of individuals who have the best attitude? Some of the happiest people that I have known had very little in the way of material possessions. Yet their attitude was the best. Unfortunately, there are many of us who have a lot but think we have little. Our circumstances reflect our attitude. If you are miserable, I would bet it is because you have a miserable outlook. Instead of having your focus on what is wrong, why not change that focus on the things in your life that are going right? If you can walk, then you are blessed. If you can pay your bills, then you are blessed. If you have a roof over your head, then you are blessed. You may not be where you want to be right now, but if you are allowing a circumstance to control 90% of your reaction, then you need to change something. And that something is your thinking and attitude. If you could step aside and look at your life through another person’s eyes, I wonder if you would think your problems were as big as they truly are. Remember that your problems are as big as you are making them. Remember that you are a worthy person. You are worthy of much more than focusing on that 90% of negativity. Instead, shift your thinking to the 90% of things in your life that are going in the right direction.
